Strange Weather Has Our Heads Spinning [video]

There’s a new experimental pop project under the name Strange Weather that’s bound to give you a jolt. Frontman Sean Brennan has a very diverse musical background, which is likely what makes the band’s music sound so genre-bending. The opening of “Lonely Romance”, the title track off Strange Weather’s debut EP, has a slightly orchestral feel to it. Then, we hear layered synths, horns and heavy drums colliding, as the track morphs into something deliciously psychedelic, while Brennan’s belting voice and forlorn lyrics float in the center of it all. The music video for “Lonely Romance” dresses the song up in trippy glam rock attire — so much so that it’s practically a visual hallucinogen.
