Pepe’s Story…
Pepe (with a name like that you can’t miss the Italian heritage) first developed a love of fine stationery at age ten while on a trip to Venice and Florence with his parents. Pepe was amazed at not only the beauty but also at the variety of paper and stationery available. It is that trip that Pepe attributed to his desire to open his own paperie business.
Inspired by the endless selection of high quality stationery and pens available both in Australia and around the world, Pepe decided to realise his dream and open a paperie.
Pepe’s Paperie prides itself on a selection of products from Australia and around the world. Each store is a treasure trove of quality products including stylish pens, notebooks, journals, photo albums, leather goods, cards, gift wrap and much more. For those, like Pepe, who have a passion for fine stationery, there is an abundance to interest and delight.

What is the essence and vision of your shop that you strive to bring to your customers? Pepe’s Paperie prides itself on a selection of products from Australia and around the world. Who shops at your store? What brings customers to your store? The majority of our customers fall into the 25-55 years of age range. Most are female, but the discerning gentleman can also seen trawling the shelves. Customers are drawn to the store because of it’s reputation for quality and beauty; for the unique and interesting finds that are waiting to be discovered.

What is the best thing about owning your own business? You are surrounded all day by beauty and things you love not to mention being able to get up from the desk at 5:30 and go home to the family.
How much of your style flows into how you live, how you dress, what you read? I don’t know if it has effected how I dress but it definitely plays a part in what I read. I subscribe to a number of design and fashion magazines to make sure I am keeping up with the latest trends and ideas out there.
We know what we love about your store but what do you love about Paper Runway? It is so unique, beautiful, delightful, gorgeous, inspiring and informative. A magazine like Paper Runway gives paper creatives a publication of their own to treasure.
What enlivens your creativity day in day out? The world as a whole is a pretty inspiring place. Simple things like a bag floating in the breeze or watching the kids playing at the park can be just enough to spark an idea.
What makes you happy? My wife and two boys first, paper second (Belinda would say barley second)
What blogs do you read daily? Best blog find? Oh So Beautiful Paper and Paper Crave are some of the purely paper blogs I look at but there are also a couple of blogs out there that have other homely items including paper like Creature Comforts, I Love Pretty Things and Upon a Fold.
What is your favourite paper product? Anything Italian (close behind is Paper Runway).
