Apple co-founder Steve Jobs has resigned as chief executive of the technology giant and will be replaced by chief operating officer Tim Cook. Mr Jobs, who underwent a liver transplant following pancreatic cancer, said he could no longer meet his chief executive's duties and expectations.
Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco, California and was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Jobs' biological parents were Abdulfattah Jandali, a Syrian graduate student who later became a political science professor, and Joanne Schieble, an American graduate student who went on to become a speech language pathologist.The Presurfer
