The Reason to Dress
It was the day before Christmas, December 24th and we headed out to the pre-lunch aperitivo and live music event at the Bar Schiavoni beside the Albinelli Market (il Mercato Albinelli). I’ve done a whole post about it here.
What I Wore
My husband could not wait any longer to give me my Christmas gift, so before we headed out he gave me a big beautiful hat box. Inside, there were two hats by Italian designer Federica Moretti. I’m wearing design “mod 12″, and it has quickly become my favorite winter hat.
I’m wearing a Mango wool coat, Kenneth Cole black leather oversized bag, Peter Flowers over the knee leather boots (regularly priced at over 600 bucks but I got a great deal at under $200 here), and cropped lady-like black leather gloves from the In Fashion shop.
I will be doing a whole profile about designer Federica Moretti, who is from my husband’s hometown of Castelfranco Emilia. She is now an internationally acclaimed hat and hair designer and has been featured in almost every fashion magazine imaginable. She’s created hat and hair designs for some of the biggest designers (Borsellino, Cavalli, Mila Schon to name a few) and recently opened up her first boutique in Modena!
