– RB Arian Foster scored on a 42-yard run midway through the fourth quarter to score the final points of a 17-10 victory for the Houston Texans over the Steelers at Reliant Stadium. With the loss, the Steelers fell to 2-2 on the season.

The Texans scored on their first possession as QB Matt Schaub led the team on a 19-play, 95-yard drive that was capped off by a one-yard touchdown toss to TE Owen Daniels.

K Neil Rackers added a 25-yard field goal late in the second quarter to give the Texans a 10-0 lead. The Steelers finally had some momentum on their final drive of the half. K Shaun SuishamSteelers vs Texans Preview attempted a 30-yard field goal, but it was blocked by S Danieal Manning. CB Johnathan Joseph then scooped up the loose football and returned 61 yards for a touchdown but the play was negated on a block in the back penalty. The Steelers trailed 10-0 at the half.

On the Steelers’ first possession of the second half QB Ben RoethlisbergerSteelers vs Texans Preview led the team on a 13-play, 74-yard drive that was capped by RB Rashard Mendenhall’s three-yard touchdown run. The Steelers then tied the game, 10-10, when Suisham connected from 26 yards to begin the fourth quarter.

On the Texans’ ensuing possession, Foster broke free and scored from 42 yards out. It was the longest run the Steelers’ defense had given up since the 2006 season. Foster finished the game with 30 carries for 155 yards and one touchdown. The Steelers though had a chance to tie the game with less than a minute left, but Roethlisberger was picked off by CB Jason Allen.

The Texans rushed for 180 yards, which is the second-most rushing yards the Steelers’ defense allowed in a game since the 2001 season. Foster’s 155 rushing yards were the second-most by a running back against the Steelers’ defense since 2001.

WR Hines Ward had one reception for 19 yards, giving him 11,838 career receiving yards, which puts him in 20th place in NFL History for receiving yards.
