Drew Butler won his battle with veteran Brian Moorman to keep his job as the Steelers punter -- for a few days, anyway. On Monday, the Steelers signed punter Zoltan Mesko and released Butler.
The Steers also claimed cornerback Antwon Blake off waivers from Jacksonville and released cornerback Isaiah Green.
The New England Patriots released Mesko on Saturday, reportedly because he was going to earn $1.3 million this season. He averaged 44.2 yards in his three seasons with the Patriots, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2010. New England kept undrafted rookie punter Ryan Allen instead.
