Steelers Sign Mike Mitchell

Brad Biggs is reporting this one and it’s that much sought after safety Mike Mitchell has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It marks something of a change for the Steelers to operate so quickly in free agency, especially after a player who was generating plenty of interest.
He’ll replace Ryan Clark as the deep safety and flashed some playmaking ability in coverage, despite his tendency to miss tackles (18 of them). It’s a much needed injection of youth.
