Not only did the Pittsburgh Steelers sign a veteran free agent on Tuesday, they were busy hosting two pre-draft visitors. Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk and Mississippi wide receiver Dante Moncrief spent some time at the team facility and will add two- more names to the list of 30 that will make their way to the city.

While both players are interesting prospects who could come in and provide a combination of young depth and playmaking ability to the offense. At this point, both players appear to be second-day prospects, but those draft-grades could vary from team-to-team.
Seastrunk is a smaller back (5-9, 210-pounds), but he has elite athleticism and has the ability to an explosive weapon out of the backfield. Unfortunately, playing in the high-octane spread attack at Baylor; he is also a difficult running back to grade because of the style of play. For his career, he accounted for 2,189 yards, 18 touchdowns, and a 7.6 yards-per-carry average, numbers that are impressive in any offense.
With the signing of running back LeGarrette Blount, the Steelers may be looking for an athletic third-round type to add to the mix and Seastrunk has the look of that style of back. More strong / quick than fast (4.51 40-yard dash), he is an explosive back that could definitely find a role in the NFL.
Even with the signing of Blount, the Steelers could use a mid-to-late round selection to add quality depth to the backfield. At this point, it would be unlikely to see them use a first or second day selection on the position, but all bets are off on the third day, and early day three could be where Seastrunk ends up being slotted.
