May 3 is the deadline for teams to pick up the fifth-year option for players selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. We've seen quite a few options already picked up.
Add the Steelers and defensive end Cameron Heyward to the list as the team announced the move on Tuesday morning.

Heyward was selected with the 31st pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and, like many of these options, a no brainer to pick up.
The defensive end had a breakout year in 2013, picking up five sacks in 13 starts (and 16 total games) and improving across the board as a defender. He fits quite nicely in the Steelers 3-4 defense as an end who can stuff the run and put pressure on quarterbacks and Pittsburgh likely loves having him under cheap control for the next two years.
