Story: Steel Country starts when a small-town truck driver Donald (Scott) finds his life going nowhere. His daughter Wendy (Campbell) lives with his ex-Linda (Gough) and he rarely sees her. However, when a local boy is discovered dead, Donald decides to investigate.

It leads Donald down a dangerous path in search of answers. However, his investigation leads to an obsession that puts his life in danger. But this doesn’t stop Donald from wanting to know the truth to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen to his daughter.

Verdict on Steel Country

Steel Country is a mystery thriller following a truck driver who decides to investigate a child’s death. It takes him down a dangerous path and the police believe it was an accident. However, he becomes obsessed with wanting to know the truth.

This movie is a dark thriller which proves people can become driven to learn the truth. It has plenty of twists and turns as somebody searching for a truth nobody else is searching for.  The story creates a close-knit community which knows most secrets and it only drives the search for the truth. At times a little bit uncomfortable, but the search for the truth delivers.
