Starbucks in Louisiana Served Coffee with Satanic Symbols

On Sunday, March 30, 2014, Catholic schoolteacher Megan Pinion ordered two cups of coffee at a Starbucks in the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, and was served this:

One had a star drawn in the foam, which Pinion conceded could simply be a star like the one in Starbucks logo rather than the occult pentagram. The other beverage, however, had a 666 drawn in the foam, which is a number the Book of Revelations links to the Antichrist.

Pinion was so shocked by the Satanic symbols that the Starbucks barista drew on her coffee foam, she couldn’t even look at his face or get his name.

But Pinion did make sure to take a photo of the satanic symbols and post the pic on her Facebook page which went viral.

Linda Edwards reports for The (Louisiana) Daily Advertiser, April 1, 2014, that Starbucks has apologized to Pinion.

Tom Kuhn, Starbucks social media team spokesman issued a formal statement: “We have sincerely apologized for her experience. This obviously is not the type of experience we want to provide any of our customers, and is not representative of the customer service our partners provide to millions of customers every day. We reached out to her [Pinion] through social media and apologized. We’re taking the complaint seriously. We’re not sure who served her or what kind of beverage it was. It looks kind of caramel-ish in the photos.”

Asked if the incident would change Starbucks’ policy on foam art, Kuhn replied, “I don’t know; I guess it could.”
