I know I promised another post on the Spring/Summer 2013 collections a week ago, but I was struggling with silly Internet issues throughout the week. After catching up on the collections, I ended up with so many favourites that I couldn’t possible post them all here, so I decided to do honourable mentions instead for you. Throughout the collections, the details that I drew me in the most had to be first of all the incredible colours the designers put forth. So much color and so many varied and interesting combinations of prints also. The 80s and were well and truly represented, especially at Jean Paul Gaultier, and there were shoulder pads at Lanvin! Pointy toed shoes were everywhere, dresses were short, long, figure hugging, or flowing, pants were tailored, and there was lots of décolletage on show. Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen has had a Queen Bee moment with her honeybee inspired collection, the details of her gowns unbelievable, I’ve posted images from that runway show on my Facebook page.
Vanessa Bruno SS2013. I love the tailored jacket and those red pants!
Vanessa Bruno SS2013. I’ll have this in every color please, it’s perfect for Summer at the beach!
Guy Laroche SS2013. Stunning color combo, gorgeous lines.
Sexy boho at Isabel Marant SS2013.
Shoulder pads at Lanvin SS2013 – eek!!
Lanvin SS2013. Loving the Arpège parfum bottle shaped purses!
Marni SS2013. Incredible prints and fabrics. L.O.V.E!
Captivating sparkly details at Marni SS2013.
Show-stopping polka dots at Nina Ricci SS2013.
That’s all for Spring Summer 2013 Paris, Milan, New York and London. Phew! Check out my Tumblr and Facebook for more.
Hope your weekend was wonderful – we’ve had the most unexpected summer heat-hot weather here, 34 c degrees today so these images of Spring and Summer directions in the Northern hemisphere come just in time for us down here in the South. It’s funny how that works. xx
