Perhaps it’s the Holiday enthusiast in me, but I absolutely love these festive nails! Doesn’t each and every finger look like it’s been perfectly gift-wrapped? (The only thing missing are lil’ miniature bows.) Ready to get your Christmas cheer on? To achieve this look, you’ll need a base color of choice (e.g. bold red, deep blue, or green), an opaque polish (white, silver, or gold), and a skinny nail art brush. Apply two coats of the base color and let dry completely. Now the fun part: dip the nail art brush in the opaque color and let your inner Martha Stewart go crazy. You can do bows, snowflakes, miniature snowmen, or wrapping paper stripes. And if you’re feeling extra creative (and crave a more playful look), you can try your hand at Santa or Rudolf. (As I failed art class, I decided to stick with Snowflakes.)

And if you’re not up for the artistry (or just can’t find the time), don’t fret. Sally Hansen’s Limited Edition Holiday Collection Nail Polish Strips are easy enough for even those who lack all artistic ability. These genius strips wear just like nail polish because they are nail polish. And the best part? No dry time and they last up to 10 days. (That’s longer than most x) Of the offered designs, my favorite is Snow Bunny. The red and white pattern (that looks like a cross between a snowflake and a poinsettia flower) totally exudes festivity. Bring on the visions of sugar plums, stockings hung by the chimney with care, and Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, and… (Okay, that’s the extent of my reindeer names knowledge. Similarly, I can never recall all seven dwarfs either.)

Whether freehanded or via nail polish strips, these festive nails will have you spreading the holiday cheer without lifting a finger (pun intended). Happy holidays, beauty enthusiasts….
