Guys, I’m alive don’t worry! I haven’t stopped blogging, but I’ve been going through a lot personally and swamped with a new job I, hesitantly, decided to take on and in turn has veered me off my path towards my goals. This all in a time The Dreamery Events is really taking off for me with dessert orders and styling events. I’ve been nothing shy of miserable, and have finally made the choice to choose in favor of my happiness. All I have to say is always, always trust your gut but I will definitely share more about what I’ve been going through with you soon….but for now I wanted to share some inspiration I keep loving more and more. Barn doors are nothing new in the world of decor, but how they are being transformed is what’s really catching my eye, especially when they’re sliding! Barn doors don’t only fit in a rustic style home, they are beautiful in a modern or traditional home too. All this rustic wood inspiration had me wanting to share a bunch of shiplap inspiration; I guess I’ve been watching a lot of Fixer Upper, but I’ll leave that for another Spotlight On post. Here are my favorite barn door ideas…
This slab wood door is everything!

There’s been a surge of sliding barn doors in homes, because they can make a simple impact especially when recreated into French doors leading to a beautiful garden or office. image via My Lovely Things

I love barn doors because they transform something old into something new and purposeful, like scraps of wood into a statement bathroom door. image via Decorology
I hate how TVs can take away from the beauty of a home, and I cringe at the thought of having a TV in the bedroom, but let’s face it, they’re essential. I might seriously hide all my TVs, whenever I own my future home, with barn doors like these.image source unknownimage via Cote de Texas
I won’t stop loving a barn door like this one in a master bedroom and bathroom.

Barn doors don’t only have to be left in their natural wood condition, painted black and a large window, it becomes a completely different and beautiful take on the trend. image via Because it’s Awesome
