For those who are anxiously awaiting Russell Edgington’s (Denis O’Hare) return to True Blood in Season 5, we have the scoop for you!
The Windy City Times interviewed Denis O’Hare about a play he’s working on in Chicago called, “An Ilaid”, which was held at the Court Theatre and premiered on November 19th.
Denis revealed some interesting True Blood spoilers during the interview, which included when we can expect Russell’s return to the show and some background into his recent marriage.

This is what was said;
Although O’Hare wouldn’t reveal any major True Blood plotlines, he did disclose that Russell Edgington will return even though he was seemingly killed off.
“I’m coming back [for True Blood's fifth series] mid-season because of An Iliad. I’m amazed that we were able to negotiate around that,” O’Hare said. “I’m very happy to come back and actually I got the first two scripts for True Blood and I’ve been hungrily reading them.”
I know how many of us are looking forward to Russell’s return. It’s disappointing that he won’t appear until mid-way through the season.
