The Lord has given Stary, a high school freshman, a mission: extinguish the evil residing in the murderer of two teens--Maren and Umbra. Stary never imagined that her strange visions meant that she was the Spirit Warrior for God and now with her powers activated, she must train to use them and try not to get caught by the murderer who has the ability to hide and conjure up the dark powers from the fallen angel himself--Lucifer. If Stary fails, not only will she lose her life, but Maren and Umbra will lose their entry into heaven and the world will be exposed to the madness of the murderer for the next forty years until the new Spirit Warrior is born.

Excerpt from Chapter 6

My powers! They must have evolved since I accepted and understood the heart of my mission. My heart spoke this fact to me and I felt it was true. "Thank you," I whispered to the heavens, my breath traveling upward. With that realization, my glow sank into my skin, disappearing, but the magic was inside me. I felt calm and strong.
"Umbra! I'm no longer a caterpillar! I'm building my slimly cocoon for spirit training! Yeah!" I threw a power fist in the air like a cheerleader on sugar, pumped and excited.
Umbra shook his head so fast that I wasn't sure if he was proud, shocked, or trying not to cackle. "Stary Moon...you are by far the hardest human I have ever dealt with. I was proud of you, but now...How can I respond when you stupidly grin at empty space like that? Gosh! You're such an idiot!"

Umbra did not reply, but went straight into practice mode, fading, blending, into the coil of the room.
My heartbeat echoed that of the silent airspace, becoming still. My breathing became one with my reeling mind. I closed my eyes, cutting off my human senses and in an instant, I gained the ones of a tracker. It was like I was in the center of the universe, the stars' pulses telling my long lost secrets in a liquid motion. Suddenly, in the distance of my dance, I felt a zap, a crack of lightning slapping the black chaos of space, all happening in a nanosecond. The stars were shrilling in madness, one at a time. The evil feeling crept closer and closer, a tiger on the prowl. I could almost count the beats before it ringed my neck...5...4...3...2...
Whack! Before reaching one, I
