1. I have a geographic tongueand I am married to a geographer.
2. I have a Ph.D. in Immunology.
3. I despise hazelnuts.Really.Hate.Them.
4. I can identify almost every species of warbler that is normally found in the US by their song.
5. I love tea iced and coffee hot but not the other way around.
6. My favorite word is “ooze”.I love that it sounds like what it does.
7. My least favorite word is “bucolic”. Rather than evoking an idyllic rural setting, it sounds more like some horrible disease.
8. I never leave the house without clean underwear, lip gloss and some idea where I’m going.
9. I like dogs because they teach us about the beauty of unconditional love.I like cats because they instruct us how to not show it under any circumstances.
10. I cringe every time I see the toe fungus commercialwhere cartoon fungi lift up someone’s toenail.I’m cringing right now just thinking about it.

M.L. Ryan is a professional woman - which is not to say that she gave up her amateur status, but rather that she is over-educated with a job that reflects her one-time reluctance to leave school and get "real" work – and she spends a lot of time in that profession reading highly technical material.She has many stories rolling around in her head, and she finally decided to write some of them. She prefers literature that isn’t saddled with excruciating symbolism, ponderous dialogue or worldly implications. She also doesn’t like plots so reliant on love at first sight that it makes her feel like her head might implode.
