Southern Spain Travels: Part 1

We recently returned from our “spring break” travels with Brad’s parents (Tam and Larry). The kids had 2 weeks off for Easter, so we had a nice long trip circling down through Southern Spain and back again. The map shows our overall route.
I’m going to give some highlights of the first part of the trip, and Brad will do the same for the last part. We rented a vehicle so that we could all travel together, which turned out to be a rather long van. Brad was the driver, which I’m sure he will write about. It was a little stressful at times trying to navigate the large van through narrow streets.
We started our trip by traveling to the city of Cáceres in the province of Extremadura. This had been recommended to me as a great place to see interesting birds, as well as a beautiful area. We…
