SOUTH OF FRANCE IS NICE THIS TIME OF YEAR [PREMIERE]

As the temperature continues to drop and I swap out t-shirts and shorts for flannels and tights, I find myself listening to less surf rock and more folk. Of course, there are some exceptions, one of them being indie pop band South Of France (@s_o_f_music), which is Jeff Cormack on vocals, guitars, percussion, bass, keys and slide guitar (whew), and Kelly Lueke on vocals and keys. While South of France isn’t literally from the South of France (Denver and Los Angeles), their music gives off some much needed warm, sunny, Mediterranean beach vibes. With reverberated vocals washed over trebly guitars, sparkly glockenspiels and synths, their sound is self described as retro indie pop and has been compared to Peter Bjorn and John, Beach Fossils, Real Estate, and Beach House.

Their awesome debut full-length album, Another Boring Sunrise, the follow-up to 2011′s Kings, was self-released September 18th, and is available to stream and buy on the South of France Bandcamp page. But wait, there’s more! The band also recently opened up for Two Door Cinema Club and recorded live renditions of “When I Came To” and “Writers Block”, tracks from their new album, at Coupe Studios in Denver, which you can watch here first below!
