Celebrations In Full Swing
Just before Christmas, RTS Waste was the Match Sponsor for the South London derby of Millwall v’s Charlton Athletic. The Millwall football stadium is adjacent to the RTS Waste Bermondsey yard on Stockholm Road. As a family run waste management and skip hire company supporting the local community is an important aspect to our business and this is why RTS has actively become an advertising sponsor for the local football team. It was perfect timing to get into the mood before Christmas, on Wednesday 21st December night’s match at the Den. Everyone encountered an exciting performance in front of a season’s best home attendance of 14,395.

The night had some very special RTS Waste guests to watch The Lions. Christmas is for children and for these three in particular this made an excellent celebration in full swing to watch the local South London derby football match.
After three successive defeats the Lions raced into a 2-0 lead with quick fire goals before the break, scored by Steve Morison. Millwall also came out flying of the traps at the start of the second half, but were stunned when Charlton reduced the arrears on 49 minutes against the run of play. Charlton rarely threatened a solid looking Lions and the roar of the Lions could be heard when they eventually took the derby honours against Charlton Athletic at The Den with a 3 – 1 win.
