Asia Tour 2017
RTS Waste Management love to support various causes with in the community, the British Armed forces, sporting events and much more. When the 27th Regiment RLC approached us for support of their 2017 Asia Rugby tour, RTS Waste MD Mark Redmond was proud to say YES.
Family connection to 27th Regiment RLC
One of the Redmond sons has been in the Army and was part of the 27th Regiment RLC. Therefore, it was great that Luke Redmond saw some for his old Regiment not only go on a dream rugby tour to Asia, but be supreme and win every rugby match. After an epic flight from UK it was worth it getting the kit with the RTS Waste logo.
First Stop Brunei
First game day was 28th March 2017, University of Brunei (Sharks) v The Wolves RFC which Wolves won 20 - 3. Playing their second and final 15's match of rugby before going on to their 10's competition and they finished with a victory 39 - 21 against the Brunei Barbarians.
Rugby 10's Kowloon
With thanks for sponsoring them , Wolves RFC Alan O'Neill said "it meant a lot that we had faith to sponsor the Wolves and it was a driving factor for them to succeed." On the 1st April they remained unbeaten on the tour after playing the Flying Kukuri 10's. Next was the Kowloon 10's in Hong Kong where they were looking to finish the tour strong. It was the 16th Kowloon Rugby Fest that the Wolves RFC were through to the Plate. Two winning tries by the Wright brothers put the the whole squad in well deserved celebration winning the Plate. woot woot!
