I have recorded lots of music over the years, but unfortunately most of it has been lost over time due to failing hard drives and lost cassettes. I keep meaning to start again, but I never seem to have the time.
This piece was recorded in about 1981 just after I left school. The recording is best described as 'primitive', but I still have a soft spot for it. The equipment I had at the time was a Roland SH101, a Jen SX1000, a Boss delay pedal, a cheap practice amp, and for recording, a hand held dictation cassette recorder. All the sounds were improvised and recorded in one take, and if you listen carefully, you can here my Mum and Dad walk through the front door towards the end. (My 'studio' at the time was a cupboard under the stairs which I shared with the ironing board, the hoover, etc.).
Anyway, have a listen, and tell me what you think!
