Drivewire is a new live showcase presented by SounDrive Records. It's a two-day event featuring six local bands who are poised to make it big. The showcases take place at the beautiful Rose Theatre Brampton on October 21st and December 9th.
The first showcase includes Mississauga based Alt-Rock band Polarity. This five-piece band have been making music since 2008 and list Tool, Deftones and A Perfect Circle as influences and we can definitely hear that when we listen. Polarity is fronted by Jasmine, with Matt Hamilton on guitar, Mike Sitana on guitar, Adrian DeSousa on bass, and Eric Zimmermann on drums and percussion.
The Ocean Cure is an Oakville-based band features Pauline Taylor on vocals, Casius Wray-Muto - bass and Unclean Vocals, Mike Di Monte on guitar and vocals, Nicola Sudano on drums and programming. Featuring a post-hardcore/rock sound, they're definitely a band to watch.
Also appearing on Day 1 is Words Like Wildfire, a pop punk, hardcore, emo band who are a GTA fixture. Think New Found Glory meets Alexis on Fire, this five-piece is high energy and a band to watch.
