Even though Google came up with the smartest wearable tech gadget we have so far, Microsoft and Samsung is rumored to be working on their own wearable tech to compete against Google Glass. Now, Sony has joined the club with their most innovative idea yet – Smart Wigs.

Yes, You read it correctly. That’s not a typo, because according to Sony, only thing bald people wanted to hide besides their head is their smartphones on top of their head. Sony has already filed for a patent for this so-called “smart wigs” which appears to include a built-in device that connects with smartphones and other devices, so that when you receive notification or a call, the device simply vibrates on top of your head. Pretty much like a smartwatch, except on your head. How innovative is that? I bet nobody came up with that idea, ever. And you thought they can’t innovate any more.

As Engadget points out, “The filing goes on to claim a wig is the perfect hiding place for delicate electronics.” I’m surprised they couldn’t find a better hiding place in the human body. Let’s just hope Sony would soon come to its’ senses and pull this patent off before it becomes more ridiculous.
