There’s nothing more weirder than watching manufacturer unbox their own devices. This time, the president of Sony, Shuhei Yoshida puts on some gloves to unbox his new PlayStation 4 console. As seen in the video, the PS4 box contains a network voucher, a quick start guide, a DualShock 4 controller, an HDMI cable, an AC cord, a mono headset, and a USB cable, in addition to the 500GB console.
The unboxing video does seem a little weird. It’s mostly the background setting that gives us feel unsettling. I mean for gods sake that dude’s wearing gloves to touch the console. It’s like the PS4 is nuclear active or something. And, yes that server room studio is the same background used for the Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories unboxing.

You can check out the video after the jump. As a bonus, I’ve included the Xbox One unboxing video as well. If you ask me, I liked the Xbox One box packaging better.
