Answering a fan question on Twitter, Shuhei Yoshida, Sony’s President of Worldwide Studios has revealed a cool new feature of its upcoming next-gen gaming console, PlayStation 4. As you may already know, both PS4 and Xbox One comes with smartphone apps which connects devices with the console. One of its’ abilities is to download games for your console using smartphones.

A user recently asked Yoshida via Twitter if he has to keep the PS4 turned on the whole time when he uses a smartphone to download a game. Answering to the question, Sony’s President explained that when you purchases a game via your smartphone from anywhere in the planet, your console at home will automatically wake up to download the game and then goes back to sleep after it’s finished. How cool is that?

@SyriasSerj When you buy a PS4 game on smartphone, it will wake your PS4 up to start downloading the game. PS4 goes back to sleep after that

So far, Xbox One doesn’t seem to have a cool feature like this for the console. And, I don’t think Microsoft has enough time left to make-up a feature like this one before launch.
