Sony Finds a Way to Store 185TB of Data into a Cassette Tape

Well, don’t get too excited though. These are not the same kind of tapes that we’ve been using back in the old days. A lot of government agencies and corporate giants have been using these magnetic tapes for years to archive their valuable data. However, Sony’s new tape is said to be capable of storing 74 times more data than any other magnetic tape available today. We are actually talking about storing over 3,700 Blu-rays into one tape.
