Sonny first found her voice at seventeen, traveling and busking her songs all over Europe. Her music is influenced by poetry, storytelling and the raw, rugged landscape of her home in the West of Ireland.
With a distinctive voice, weaving between soft and delicate and raspy and soulful, Sonny’s voice is powerful and timeless. Her deep love of words and storytelling lends itself to emotive lyrics with hidden depths, drawn from dark places.
In 2022 Sonny Casey toured Ireland sharing stages with the likes of Liam Ó Maonlaí and Mick Flannery.
