Sometimes when I am watching my family from behind the lens the world becomes still.  It is in these moments that I feel fully present and acutely aware that I could have nothing as long as I have this crew to be with.  Together, we have everything.

I've been meaning to catch you up on some of my current blog goings-on.  When I put thought into how and what I wanted to do with this space this year, the answers came quick and clear.  I want to write.  I want to document life behind the lens.
So, you might have noticed that I no longer have a right column for Friends and Sponsors.  Choosing to do without was not the easiest choice because I really dig those small businesses and sharing them with you, and a little kick-back was always nice.  But trying to run this space as part business has honestly never worked for me.  I do plan on blogging about businesses that I really like, especially local ones, to continue sharing my support and spread the word with you as I come across them.
I'm also on (and loving!) Instagram now.  Follow along at OwlandTwine, I'd love for you to.   And I recently joined Bloglovin, which I'm growing to love more and more, as I now have a spot to organize and read so many of the blogs I love all in one place.  You can follow me on there if you'd like too.
Moving on, I read Wild this weekend.   Cheryl Strayed moved me to tears, made me smile all the way down to my bones, and in some ways helped heal some of my own wild past, which certainly has its layers of grit and grime.  I won't spoil any of it for you if you have not yet read it.  I will only tell you that Chapter 14 - Wild - was my favorite.  And out of all of Cheryl's beautifully composed sentences, this one spoke the world to me:  Of all the things I'd done in my life, of all the versions of myself I'd lived out, there was one thing that never changed:  I was a writer.
