As you might know, in 2016 we at Softstar were honored to be named one of the top 10 Greenest Companies in Oregon (#10) by Oregon Business. This year, we are so excited to be included in the category AGAIN coming in 13th place for 2017! With so many amazing companies in Oregon working hard to promote sustainability and green workplace practices, it is such an honor to be recognized.
Sustainability has always been at the heart of Softstar, and walking lightly on the earth is one of our core values as a company. Owners Tricia and Larkin strive to create a positive, healthy, happy work environment for all employees, and all of us elves embrace the eco-conscious values they have built into the company. From the materials we use to alternative transportation incentives for employees, we do our best to keep the health of the earth in mind through all aspects of the business!
Our new workshop has so many amazing eco-friendly additions, including radiant heat flooring and upcycled building materials.
