Soft Star Halloween Costume Photo Contest… and a Secret from the Elves

By Softstar @Soft_Star_Shoes

Pumpkin Man

What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire?

Frostbite.

Halloween is right around the corner! This happens to be one of the elves' favorite holidays, and definitely an exciting time around our workshop. We have a lot of fun dressing up, and even more fun sitting outside the shop handing out treats to frightened children. We also love seeing the colorful photos our fans send us showing kids wearing Soft Stars with their costumes.

This year, we're making Halloween even more special with our Costume Photo Contest! If you have a photo showing you, your family or your friends wearing Soft Star shoes with a Halloween costume then you can enter for free. Just submit the photo to us via our Facebook app (Facebook account required). Our Facebook fans will then vote for their favorite photo/costume. Whoever receives the most votes will win a $50 Soft Star gift card!

The contest is active from now until November 3, 2013. Click here for more details, to enter or just to vote for your favorites. And if you submit a photo, be sure to tell your friends to vote for you!

Now, wasn't there something mentioned about an elf secret?

Psst… for the rest of October, if you place an order and type the word TREAT into the notes field during checkout, we'll include a special snack in your package. This year, we're giving away locally-made HoneyStix from Glory Bee (orange flavor).

Made from small family beekeepers, Glory Bee processes 100% pure honey down the road from us in Eugene, Oregon. Kids love the all-natural sweetness of their HoneyStix, and they're fun to eat, too! Just break off one end and squeeze out the delicious nectar.

If you ask for a TREAT, be sure to tell us how many ghouls are in your household so we know how many HoneyStix to include (and don't forget one for yourself).

Local customers can also get their HoneyStix fix by visiting our Corvallis workshop on Halloween during downtown trick-or-treat hours of 1–5pm.
