SocialBlood.org : A life saving initiative by a 22 year old Karthik Naralasetty We all use facebook to build our social network and to interact with our friends and family members. Nowadays, it has almost become a part of our day-to-day activity, but very few of us have the ability to think beyond it. Karthik Naralasetty, a 22 years old entreprenuer from Bangalore used the platform of facebook to extend help to people by founding SocialBlood.org, a virtual platform that strives to connect people who require blood with donors who are ready to donate. The website has grouped all the blood types which are directly connected to their facebook groups. Anybody with their facebook credentials can log into the website and then select their blood group and then become a part of this initiative. After becoming a member, you can post blood requirements or can even help others who are in need. The website currently has over 2000 members and is spread over 18 countries. The website is currently supported by volunteers across the world and is on the look out for official sponsors from corporates or brands who are willing to support the cause. Moreover, if anybody has skills in technology, web designing or marketing and is willing to join the team, can log in to the website and check out the Careers section. It seems SocialBlood.org has got some big plans in hand for their future.
We salute such a cause and wish socialblood.org to have a great future.
