It really only takes about thirty seconds, sometimes even less, to connect with a song, to know whether or not you like it or think it’s any good. SALES’ chill track “renee” is one of those “sometimes even less” songs, as it took me literally ten seconds to know that it was fantastic, well — that SALES are fantastic.

The Orlando-based duo (Jordan Shih of JSHIH and Lauren Morgan of U.S.A.-HOLES and DE NADA) only have two tracks up for listening at the moment, but these are more than sufficient to determine that very soon the law of supply and demand is going to take its effect, aka more, please! SALES’ crunchy, lo-fi folk connects with electronic dream pop in an exquisite medium before finally wrapping itself around tender vocals and infectious guitar loops. Heavy on melody and perception, SALES have created a signature pop sound that has us falling all over ourselves.
