And they could probably do it better too.
I am talking about a fast cheap splatter paint lampshade update Jackson Pollock style.
I know I have been MIA in the DIY department all summer, so I am starting off gently.
So easy, even your 3 year old can do it.
First you will need this: So easy, even your 3 year old can do it. old shade, a little RIT dye any color, old toothbrush or stiff brush and gloves  (last one is very important, messy!)
Find a spot outside you can get dye on and not get yourself into trouble: So easy, even your 3 year old can do it.
Dip your brush into the dye:

And splash, flick and swing- just get angry at that shade! You can drink whiskey too if you want to channel your inner Pollock,  but it is only 8 am here so I will stick to my coffee.

I also used my finger and flicked it through the toothbrush to get a finer spatter look.

I wound up using both techniques to get this:

Easy. Total cost $4.99 for the bottle of dye.
