After expectations of snow with the warm weather over the past week the cold weather has really returned with a good blanketing of snow in the entire Drakensberg region. The warm weather was broken by welcoming rain overnight which quickly turned to snow by late morning. It has been snowing concomitantly since and about 3cm of snow is evident in the Kokstad region.
Update.
We have had heavy snowfall in the Drakensberg region with reported 20cm falls.
