Usually I like to be quite minimal with my makeup and a full on smokey eye is something I shy away from, however I thought I would give it a go and see how it looked.
I actually quite liked it, and worked with greys rather than blacks in order for it to be less harsh on my eyes. I didn’t do too much, in fact I used very minimal products. I started off by applying a cream metallic gray color from my Illamasqua Empower Palette, and put that all over the lid as a base. On top of that, I used gunmetal from the Urban Decay Naked Palette, and applied that on top of the base all over the lid, blending where needed to give a neater appearance. In the corners and on the crease I used creep – a dark almost black shade, again from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I used my MAC 217 to blend around the edges and get rid of the mess I created around the eyes.
That was pretty much it for the eyeshadow, apart from a quick brush along my bottom lashes and in the inner corners to put give more dimension and edge to the look. I then used the Avon Super Shock Gel Liner pencil on the bottom and inner waterline and on my lash line. Then, lashings of Loreal Telescopic mascara and it was done! On my face I wore the Bourjous Healthy Mix Serum in shade 52, followed by MAC Select Cover concealer up in NC20. I have Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in Peach on my cheeks and a bit of Benefit Hoola to contour. On my lips ia MAC Please me and that’s the whole look! Something a bit different to my usual get up…
