I have been on a concealer kick lately. Trying out a few different types and brands! Check out my latest review on the Tarte Amazonian Clay Concealer. I purchased this Smashbox concealer from Shopper's Drug Mart about a month ago with my Shopper's Optimum Points (check out my haul here). Normally, this concealer is $30 which seems so expensive for the amount of product that you get. Luckily, a little does go a long way with this concealer!
I bought the shade light, which works perfect on my skin. They have about four other shades to choose from. Since this is a liquid concealer, I use my fingers to apply it to the face and then blend it in. Sometimes I will also use a
E15-Flat Definer brush by Sigma to blend in spots around my nose and harder to get to spots.This concealer has great coverage which makes it perfect for covering blemishes, acne and discolouration. It also works great for covering up under eye circles.
After applying this concealer, I set it with Mac's Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (shade medium to dark) but I find the concealer oxidizes throughout the day and you have to re-apply.
Overall, I think this is a great concealer with the exception that I don't find it long wearing. I think it would be a great product to use if you had any type of photo shoot/event since it has great coverage.
