To The Wedding – Come On

San Francisco’s To The Wedding is set to release her first full-length this October, a month in which the fall season has entirely left behind transition and fully come into its own. Alternately, the track we are pleased to premiere today is absorbed in transition — more specifically the holding on and letting go reminiscent of the spaces we find ourselves in when trying to stay awake or trying to awaken. With sleepy, shimmery guitars and mesmerizing vocals, “Come On” practically spells out dreamy. Lauren Grubb’s affection for Mazzy Star’s druggy twilight jams bleeds through with every phrase. After the song is over, we find ourselves humming, “Come on, let me have it, come on” as if left behind by some soft exquisite dream. To The Wedding’s Silver Currents is sure to be an album for those chill days and evenings that fall will bring, and we can hardly wait for both the album and the season to come around.
