siren SIREN CREATED AN ATHEM WITH I THINK I LIKE YOU [VIDEO]

With only one recorded track, “I Think I Like You”, SIREN have already gained lots of industry buzz. That’s because this track is a bona fide pop anthem — an earworm that will leave you in an electro-pop daze. The opening round of ethereal “yea you”s swells into sonically candied harmonies with a bitter lyrical twist and the backing of a booming bass drum. Syncopated percussion and added layers of synth build in anticipation to the massive, chant-a-long chorus of “I think I like you, but, it’s complicated.” Keeping with the juxtaposition of opposite dynamics, the most powerful point in the tune comes as the bridge fades from longing vocals with a bit of rasp to a brief moment of silence that is smashed through by a loud scream of “HEY!” The song picks up just where it left off and powers through to the finish. These ladies have a way with hooks and harmonies that implies they’ll be providing us with more great musical offerings in the future. Let yourself be hypnotized by the warm-tones, bright flashes and creative overlays of SIREN’s music video for “I Think I Like You”, filmed and edited by the band’s own Skyler Stonestreet.
