Sinners and Saints

Hello Everyone! :)
This poem is about people. Ordinary people, extraordinary people, happy people, sad people, parents, children, friends and simply put, all of us. It could be you or me. We are all different and unique in our own ways, and we all go through different phases of life. We only learn when we make mistakes. And knowledge and experience from these mistakes, make us wiser. And then only do we know the true worth of it.
'What is the use of a house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?' - Henry David Thoreau
We live in a society that expects us to be a certain way. We need to live by the social norms prescribed by the 'society' in order to be accepted. And if one is any different, they are mocked or scorned at. They are treated differently. Sometimes, not accepted by society. My point simply being that we are all unique and different in our own ways. And if one chooses to live life differently, let them. (You do not have to live life, or be like everyone else to be normal). And if one makes mistakes, give them a hand so they can learn and move on. If we don't, then we are simply not giving a chance to the one who is willing to learn, to change, to become who they want to be.
Sinners and SaintsLife is a continuous learning process. It never stops. I am learning too. Sinner and saint (might feel too dramatic), is just a way to express the feeling that everybody, goes through transitional periods at different times in their life. So I say, if you aren't sure, go ahead and make that mistake. Take a fall. Get hurt. Defeated. Rejected. You'll make it. Put your thoughts out, some may like it, some won't. Nothing is good or bad. It just is. And we all have a story to tell.
'Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future' - Oscar Wilde
Sinners and Saints ...
Yesterdays sinners, tomorrows saints
Aimless dreamers, ambitious schemers
Sometimes they lose, sometimes they gain
But never settled for less, and never in vain
For I am one of them, ever sure
Here and now, and in days of yore
Tell me Society, you won't put me to shame
For the moments I flounder
Yesterday I was younger, tomorrow I'll be older
Every victory, every blunder
I made to find within me a person, better
Somewhere once I read,  the world is your canvas
And your dreams your paint, yet civilization loves a ruckus
If you don't follow the rules of the game
We tumble and fall, pick the pieces and crawl,
Like thousands of river streams
Flow into one ocean, sinners and saints after all
Are only human, and I'm here, to myself redeem
I am a passing face, in this worldly race
Scorn me not, when I emerge different
For I am the stream that leads to the same ocean
Lessons of life, I am trying to attain
Yesterday a sinner, tomorrow a saint
Never again, will I be the same
