Simple Micellar Water

You know the feeling, when at the end of a long, hectic day you can come to a warm comfortable bed and just cozy in with piping hot food and an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, but right when you’re about to doze off you remember you didn’t take off your makeup! * insert music of dreams crashing down * Yeah, that’s the feeling I’m talking about.

I have such days very often, I think around 3 days every week I’m too lazy to clean my face properly before bed.

So when I came across the concept of micellar waters, I was very excited to try them out. I couldn’t get my hands on the Bioderma one at a reasonable price, and the Garnier one wasn’t easily available near me. So I was ecstatic when I found this one by Simple at just around $5.

Since I bought it, I’ve kept it at my bedside alongwith some cotton rounds. It doesn’t need to be rinsed with water, you can just wipe your face with it and that’s it!

On days when I’m too exhausted, I just get some of this micellar water on a cotton pad and wipe my face with it. I mostly wear very light makeup on a daily basis and I also don’t wear any waterproof makeup, so mostly just wiping once-twice with this water is enough for me. It feels just like water, it has a slight chemicaly scent but it doesn’t bother me much.

It does remove makeup well (light makeup), makes my skin feel quite clean. Also, I do not think micellar water is meant to remove heavy duty, long-wearing makeup, so it would be unfair to say this as a con.

I also feel it leaves a little sticky-ness on my face.

For properly removing makeup I would not recommend this but for a sort of quick fix, or when you’re traveling its quite a good option to have on hand.

I do not love this cleanser, but it does its job alright. I don’t think I will be repurchasing this.

So many brands are coming up with Micellar cleansing water these days. I love the concept and definitely want to try ones by other brands (esp Bioderma). Have you used any Micellar Water? I would love to hear your experience, so do leave a comment or you can also  Tweet me

Priced at USD 5.39, its definitely one of the more affordable ones in the market. It’s also easily available at Walgreens, CVS, Target etc, most drugstores.

Hope you have a great week guys!

Love you all,

Poorva
