Some of the Main Causes of Hair Fall are:

With age, the body’s capacity to absorb enough nutrients decreases and as a result the hair starts thinning. You can prevent it by taking extra nutrients and fish oil tablets that are rich in omega 3 fatty acids.

Hormonal changes:

Hormonal changes can lead to hair fall or alopecia and also female pattern of baldness. Hair fall is also common in women immediately after the delivery.

Heredity, prolonged illness, taking of some medicines, thyroid disorders, over styling of hair, infection by fungi and other organism, vitamin B deficiency, sudden weight loss, polycystic ovarian syndrome etc are some other reasons for hair fall.

Lack of nutrition:

It is protein called keratin that is responsible for making your hair. You have to take adequate amounts of proteins, minerals and vitamins to ensure that your hair grows well and healthy.

Effective and Best Home Remedies to Control Hair Fall:

Aloe vera:

Aloe vera is good for preventing hair fall. Take the gel of aloe vera and apply this on the scalp. Massage well and wait for a few hours. Wash your hair with lukewarm water. This helps in getting rid of irritation, dryness and infections of the scalp and keeps your scalp well hydrated. Use the gel on your hair twice a week.

Avoid hot water for hair rinse:

Never use hot water to wash your hair. This will make your hair dry and frizzy and removes natural oil from the scalp. Always use cold water or lukewarm water for hair rinse.

Take dried amla and boil it in coconut oil till the oil becomes black in color. Massage your scalp with this oil and you can reduce hair fall. You can also use amla in many other ways to treat hair fall.

Avoid residue build-up:

Have a hair style that helps in making your hair look thick. If you use serum or mousse to increase the volume of your hair, remove them completely with a mild shampoo when you wash your hair. If any of it stays in your hair, it will lead to the formation of dandruff and hair lice.

Be gentle with wet hair:

Wet hair easily breaks and therefore you must avoid rubbing your hair dry as well as combing your wet hair.

Curd improves the texture of your hair and also prevents hair loss. Curd is also an excellent conditioner. Mix curd with either black pepper or honey and then apply it on your hair. This helps you to prevent hair fall and also keeps your hair shiny and dandruff free.

Coconut milk:

Coconut is excellent for nourishing the tissues and ideal for the hair and hair problems. Grate coconut and grind it well to get the milk of coconut. Apply this on the scalp and massage well. This can reduce hair fall effectively.

Doing exercise regularly improves metabolism of the body, which in turn helps the body to absorb nutrients more efficiently. This way your hair grows well and healthy. Exercise is also good for reducing stress. If you remain healthy and stress free, your skin and hair will be healthy and glowing.

Healthy and nutritious diet:

Hair follicles need proteins and other nutrition to grow healthy and strong. So include enough proteins, vitamins and minerals in your diet. If you are healthy from inside, your hair will grow well.

Hair packs:

There are some hair packs that help to prevent hair fall. Some of them are:

  • Aloe vera mixed with amla, shikakai and neem powder.
  • Henna, egg white and curd mixed together and made into a paste.
  • Honey, cinnamon and olive oil mixed together.
  • Make a paste of neem leaves and wash your hair with it. After washing, rinse with apple cedar vinegar. Neem protects your hair from infections while the vinegar helps in maintaining the alkali balance of the scalp.

Massage your scalp frequently:

Massaging the scalp helps in increasing blood circulation and thus helps in better hair growth. You can massage with warm oil and cover your hair with a wet towel. This is excellent for keeping the scalp hydrated and increasing hair growth.

Neem treatment:

Neem is excellent for skin, health as well as for the hair. It has astringent properties, which help on preventing dandruff and lice. Boil neem leaves in water till the quantity of the water becomes half the quantity that you took in the beginning. Cool and rinse you hair with this water at least once in a week.

Oil massage:

If you massage your scalp regularly with lukewarm oil, the blood circulation in the scalp will be increased and this will prevent hair fall and promote growth of the hair. You can use coconut oil or any other oils like mustard oil, almond oil, jojoba oil or lavender oil.

Reduce pressure on hair:

You must try to avoid hair styles that require tying your hair tight. This may look good on you but if you apply too much pressure on your hair, it will lead to the breakage of hair and thinning of hair.

Reduce caffeine intake:

Too much of coffee can make your hair dry. So reduce the intake of caffeine and replace it with something that is ore healthy for you.

Stay hydrated:

Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water. This helps in the proper growth of hair as well.

Regular trim:

Trimming your hair regularly helps in preventing split ends and make hair grow well. Always keep your hair clean and remove nits and lice with a thin comb.

Use herbal products:

Herbal and ayurvedic hair products are mild and do not contain any chemicals. So use herbal shampoo and hair products.
