I'm the girl who wears minimal makeup pretty much everyday, but when those holiday events roll around, you'd better believe that I love getting all dolled up. From red lipstick to shimmery eyes, the holidays give us all a chance to step outside of our day to day looks and really put our best face forward.
For this easy holiday makeup look, I am using Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Rich Raisin and my trusty Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes (both from Walmart) to take it all off when the day is done. This look transitions from day to night with ease, and will get you to that office party looking red-carpet-ready in no time. The steps are simple, all you need are a few tools...
This look is being built upon my normal day-to-day look, so I've already got my foundation, blush, bronzer, highlighter, and brows done. Before you dive into applying makeup, be sure to use a soft, wet washcloth to scrub off any dead skin from your lips and immediately apply lip balm. Let the lip balm soak into your lips while you apply the rest of your makeup.
First you will need a blending brush to apply your highlighting shade from lash to brow line. This will just give you a smooth, light pallet to work off of and will add light to your eyes.
Next, using a crease brush, apply a copper shade to the crease of your eyelid.
Now, using your flat brush, apply a shimmery golden color from your lash line out to the corner in one sweep. You can go over it a few times, but don't overdo the gold. You just want enough to catch the light and make your eyes sparkle.
Next, using a wet angle brush, apply more gold eyeshadow along the bottom lash line and into the inside corner.
Top it off with a fresh coat of mascara...
And then finish off your look with a few sweeps of your Neutrogena® MoistureSmooth Color Stick in your favorite shade. I love the Rich Raisin for night and the Pink Nude for day.
