Bonjour lovelies! Comment tes week-end? My Monday was spent getting plenty of fresh air. We visited a friends winery, played tennis, went for a hike around the lake, and later had friends over for dinner. It was wonderful. Also, this weekend we celebrated my sister's birthday. If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I have been dying to get some more color in my life - I think this little green bag provided the jolt I was looking for.
I decided to try a new nail polish technique - Shellac. Have any of you tried it? The polish is supposed to stay on for about 14 days. I love the color - but I'm a little hesitant on how healthy this process is for my nails. Before they apply any polish, the nail technician files down the nail a bit. Also UV lights are used to "cure" the polish dry (I would suggest slathering on an SPF of 30+ beforehand). Over all the process takes about 20-25 minutes. I won't fully know how I feel about this until the shellac comes off and I get to see how healthy my nails are afterwards.
