Sierra Nevada Relay 2012Roads Less Traveled Relays – February Newsletter:

Sierra Nevada Relay

After a several year search of driving around different states, we believe we have finally found a route that lives up to the standard Roads Less Traveled Relays stands for – a very scenic route, through a rural area, away from the craziness of urban areas and traffic: The Sierra Nevada Relay.

The route we are working on is in California and starts at the Kirkwood Ski Area and heads north, along the west shore of Lake Tahoe, then through the pine forests and ranching country of the northern Sierra, finishing at a most unique location, Lassen National Park!

We are in the permit application process and are waiting until we are comfortable the permits will be approved before we open registration.

The planned date is Friday – Saturday, September 7th – 8th. We’ll keep you posted.

New Website launched

We are happy to announce the launch of our new website. Each of our relays are now on the same site under our new domain:
roadslesstraveledrelays.com, or rltrelays.com for short.

I believe you will find the new site to be modern and fresh graphically, with improved, intuitive navigation. We continue to add content but the important information about our races is posted.

If you run into any problems with the new site, please feel free to contact us.

Green Mountain Relay – Early Bird Registration

Early bird registration for the Green Mountain Relay ends February 29th. Late registration won’t start until May 16th.

We have not heard of any lingering effects from Hurricane Irene that will affect the race, but the residents are still recovering economically, so please consider visiting Vermont sometime this year.

Wild West Relay – Early Bird Registration

Early bird registration for the Wild West Relay ends March 31st, so there is still time to recruit your friends to take advantage of the best entry rate.
