Shreveport LA to Memphis TN in a Retractable C182

By Diverdriver
A pic of me and my super cool co-pilot on our way to Memphis TN. from Shreveport LA.!  I was flying a retractable C182, a fairly rare airplane these days.  I landed on runway 35 at General DeWitt Spain airport.  It is located only 10nm northwest of the center busy Memphis International airport.

It is a little tricky getting in there from the west due to the fact that you must be very aware of airliners departing the Class Bravo airspace (I counted 3 in a very short amount of time) and there are very tall buildings in downtown Memphis which is only a couple miles from the airport.  Also, if you're a pilot, try not to get distracted by the beautiful Mississippi River or the interesting Pyramid building (the old home of the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies, now a Bass Pro Shop), passengers.... enjoy!
