Sending your child off to College is such an exciting time, but it also requires a lot of thought and planning! There are all of the books to buy and lists to be made of things for the dorm room, school supplies, and personal care items. We want our new college students to look and feel their best, so now is a great time to go shopping for some of those everyday personal items that can be easily overlooked. I did some shopping this year at Walmart.

Shopping for College Necessities

Walmart is a great place to grab all of those everyday college necessities. Take disposable razors, for example. I decided I would make an affordable college care kit appropriate for a young woman headed off to college, so I looked for personal care items at good prices that I could include in the kit. I found a whole wall of Schick razors on sale, and decided to pick up a Schick Quattro Disposable Razor. They even come in cute feminine shades.

I also picked up a variety of other care items to put in my care package. For example, I grabbed some fruity lip balms, since a girl can never have enough lip balm! I remember when I first moved out and went off to college. I forgot to buy lip balm and, being a lip balm addict, I was out wandering around in search of a convenience store to buy some. That won't happen with my care kit! Here are some of my items at checkout at with the Schick disposable razor. I have a color theme going too!

I bought some other items as well in order to package everything up into a cute personal college care kit that will be great as an off to college gift. I'll put that together and show it to you next week!
