Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, announced the return of regional brand ambassador BLACKPINK for the first Shopee X BLACKPINK Meet & Greet on June 6. After weeks of teasing on social media, hundreds of fans were able to attend the fan meet in order to see their idols in the flesh.
The Meet and Greet event held at SM Samsung Hall, BGC, Taguig City, featured performances from local artist and performer, Dasuri Choi. Consumers who attended were treated to a night of fun activities, exciting draws, and giveaways including signed BLACKPINK CDs and Shopee gift certificates.
Avid Filipino fans, also known as Blinks, were excited for the event and lined up for the Meet & Greet hours before the start. Blinks, accompanied by their friends and fellow fans, were seen carrying official BLACKPINK lightsticks, photo cards, and gifts for their idols.
Ruoshan Tao, Head of Marketing at Shopee Philippines, said “We are very happy to engage our users further by bringing BLACKPINK back in the country after their successful concert last February. We understand how large their fanbase is here in the Philippines and we are thrilled to be the first company to bring them back for an exclusive fan meet.
