Shipwreck Found 15-Years-Ago Officially Confirmed as Blackbeard’s Ship

After 15 years of research and examination, experts and officials have finally confirmed that the shipwreck found off North Carolina is actually the famous “Queen Anne’s Revenge“, the flagship of the Blackbeard.

An ornamental sword, a cast-iron cannon, a bell engraved with the date 1705, small amount of gold and many more were found among the Queen Anne’s Revenge shipwreck.

It is believed that Blackbeard deliberately grounded the ship to diffuse his crew before surrendering and accepting a royal pardon.
