Ships

I just watched a friend of mine's ship come in. It got me thinking about ships. Who gets to get on theirs and who doesn't.
She just performed at BET's Black Girls Rock. She's an incredibly talented performer named Alice Smith. I always thought - this girl should be a superstar. She's that good.
I've always been surrounded by amazingly creative people; singers, artists, writers. But how many of them will get a chance to have the right people at the right time see their light shine?
Tonight made me happy.
